Ceratanium\u00ae ist ein von IWC entwickeltes Material, welches die Vorteile von Titan und Keramik in einem Werkstoff vereint. Das patentierte Material auf der Basis einer Titanlegierung ist so leicht und bruchfest wie Titan, gleichzeitig aber auch \u00e4hnlich hart und kratzfest wie Keramik. Zudem besticht es durch seine gute Hautvertr\u00e4glichkeit, die hohe Korrosionsbest\u00e4ndigkeit und die mattschwarze Farbe. Weil alle Komponenten des Geh\u00e4uses einschliesslich der Dr\u00fccker und der Dornschliesse aus Ceratanium\u00ae gefertigt sind, erh\u00e4lt die Uhr ein auff\u00e4lliges, komplett schwarzes \u00abJet Black\u00bb-Design.<\/p>\n

Der Doppelchronograph verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber einen integrierten Schleppzeiger-Mechanismus f\u00fcr das gleichzeitige Messen von zwei Kurzzeiten. Angetrieben wird er vom Kaliber 79230 mit Automatikaufzug und einer Gangreserve von 48 Stunden.
