The Concorde was born at the height of the jet age—a period of rapid aeronautical innovation. It redefined what was possible in the skies, cut transatlantic flight times in half while traveling at twice the speed of sound, and took passengers high enough to glimpse the curvature of the Earth. The supersonic aircraft became a symbol of an era when the world dreamed bigger.
The Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Tribute to Concorde features a blue dial inspired by the hue of the stratosphere as seen from the aircraft, paired with a matching alligator leather strap. Contrasting white counters and the inner slide rule reference the Concorde’s nickname, L’Oiseau Blanc. Limited to 593 pieces—a reference to the Olympus 593 turbojet engines that powered the aircraft. The case back is engraved with “One of 593,” “Tribute to Concorde,” “Jetliner,” and “Mach 2”—the cruising speed beyond the sound barrier.

Breitling’s storied association with chronographs and aeronautics dates back to 1884, when Léon Breitling laid the foundation for a company that would remain in his family for nearly a century.
In 1923, a patented pocket watch with two chronograph pushers caused a sensation. The one pusher in the 2 o’clock position was used for starting and stopping, while the other, integrated into the crown, reset the chronograph mechanism. For the first time, it was possible for the stopwatch to measure multiple times in sequence.
Navigation and timer - or simply Navitimer
In 1952, Willy Breitling developed a chronograph with a circular slide rule that pilots could use to make all the necessary flight calculations. Two years later, the American Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the largest pilots' club in the world, appointed his design as its official timepiece.
