In the early 1940s, Willy Breitling was already dreaming of a time after the war in which utility would give way to unbridled optimism. He began work on a chronograph that would be functional, but also uniquely elegant and endlessly wearable – in his words: ‘the unmistakable stamp of impeccable taste’. He called this new line ‘Premier’.
