The versatile Breitling Chronomat in collaboration with the British motorbike brand Triumph. The Chronomat occupies an important place in Breitling’s history. It was launched in 1984, at a time when particularly flat quartz watches were in vogue. Breitling boldly opted for an impressively proportioned mechanical watch. The model celebrated Breitling’s centenary in style. It signalled the return of the mechanical chronograph to its rightful position of prominence within the brand, which built its worldwide reputation on these outstanding watches. The Chronomat B01 42 Triumph looks exceptionally good and is particularly comfortable to wear. It is supplied in the very highest specification in a titanium and 18-carat red gold setting.

Breitling’s storied association with chronographs and aeronautics dates back to 1884, when Léon Breitling laid the foundation for a company that would remain in his family for nearly a century.
In 1923, a patented pocket watch with two chronograph pushers caused a sensation. The one pusher in the 2 o’clock position was used for starting and stopping, while the other, integrated into the crown, reset the chronograph mechanism. For the first time, it was possible for the stopwatch to measure multiple times in sequence.
Navigation and timer - or simply Navitimer
In 1952, Willy Breitling developed a chronograph with a circular slide rule that pilots could use to make all the necessary flight calculations. Two years later, the American Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the largest pilots' club in the world, appointed his design as its official timepiece.
