Inspired by the Frecce Tricolori watch that Breitling created in 1983 for the Italian Air Force’s aerobatic squadron, the Super Chronomat is a sporty all-purpose watch with extra power that is also elegant enough for the evening.
With a 44-millimetre case, the Super Chronomat collection is the most distinctive of its kind. Important new features include a stainless steel bezel with ceramic insert – a first for a Chronomat – and the choice of a Rouleaux-inspired rubber strap or the distinctive metal bracelet with folding clasp. The new rubber strap is manufactured using the latest injection moulding technology. Its three different textures – matt, smooth and woven look – give it a special depth.
It is powered by the Breitling manufacture calibre 01, which offers a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The Super Chronomat is water-resistant to 200 metres.

Breitling’s storied association with chronographs and aeronautics dates back to 1884, when Léon Breitling laid the foundation for a company that would remain in his family for nearly a century.
In 1923, a patented pocket watch with two chronograph pushers caused a sensation. The one pusher in the 2 o’clock position was used for starting and stopping, while the other, integrated into the crown, reset the chronograph mechanism. For the first time, it was possible for the stopwatch to measure multiple times in sequence.
Navigation and timer - or simply Navitimer
In 1952, Willy Breitling developed a chronograph with a circular slide rule that pilots could use to make all the necessary flight calculations. Two years later, the American Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the largest pilots' club in the world, appointed his design as its official timepiece.
