A true pilot’s watch designed to withstand the challenges of a vintage cockpit, the Classic AVI P-51 Mustang features large, highly legible Arabic numerals on the dial and bezel. The fluted bezel on the 42 mm case offers optimal grip even when wearing pilot’s gloves.
The calfskin strap with decorative stitching is visually reminiscent of classic pilot jackets. Pilots, but also other travellers, will appreciate its easy readability, wearability and unobtrusive style. The Classic AVI is powered by a COSC-certified Breitling Calibre 23, which offers a power reserve of approximately 48 hours.

Breitling’s storied association with chronographs and aeronautics dates back to 1884, when Léon Breitling laid the foundation for a company that would remain in his family for nearly a century.
In 1923, a patented pocket watch with two chronograph pushers caused a sensation. The one pusher in the 2 o’clock position was used for starting and stopping, while the other, integrated into the crown, reset the chronograph mechanism. For the first time, it was possible for the stopwatch to measure multiple times in sequence.
Navigation and timer - or simply Navitimer
In 1952, Willy Breitling developed a chronograph with a circular slide rule that pilots could use to make all the necessary flight calculations. Two years later, the American Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the largest pilots' club in the world, appointed his design as its official timepiece.
