The Premier Chronograph, a tribute to three generations of inventors around Léon, Gaston and Willy Breitling, embodies Breitling’s heritage as the creator of the modern chronograph. The Premier Heritage Chronograph is available in two versions: in stainless steel with a pistachio green dial and golden brown alligator leather strap, or in 18-carat red gold with a silver dial and brown alligator leather strap.

The Premier Chronograph is powered by the COSC-certified Breitling Manufacture calibre B09, a hand-wound mechanical chronograph movement.

Breitling’s storied association with chronographs and aeronautics dates back to 1884, when Léon Breitling laid the foundation for a company that would remain in his family for nearly a century.

In 1923, a patented pocket watch with two chronograph pushers caused a sensation. The one pusher in the 2 o’clock position was used for starting and stopping, while the other, integrated into the crown, reset the chronograph mechanism. For the first time, it was possible for the stopwatch to measure multiple times in sequence.

Navigation and timer - or simply Navitimer

In 1952, Willy Breitling developed a chronograph with a circular slide rule that pilots could use to make all the necessary flight calculations. Two years later, the American Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the largest pilots' club in the world, appointed his design as its official timepiece.
