The Big Pilot’s Watch not only embodies IWC Schaffhausen’s extensive expertise in the manufacture of professional precision instruments for the cockpit. Thanks to its functional design and numerous special editions, it has also become a cultural icon whose appeal extends far beyond the watch industry. This variant is the first Big Pilot’s Watch with a dark green dial.
The striking hue is inspired by the “racing green” with which British racing cars have been painted since 1903. The oversized cone crown harks back to a historic observation watch from the 1940s – it could also be operated by pilots wearing the padded gloves of their flying suits. Inside the 46-millimetre stainless steel case works the IWC manufacture calibre 52110. The highly precise and robustly built automatic movement has a Pellaton winding system that uses every tiny movement of the rotor in both directions. A power reserve of seven days is built up in two barrels.

With a clear focus on technology and development, the Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen has been producing timepieces of lasting value since 1868.
The easy-to-read and clearly structured dial skilfully continues the design language of IWC's Portuguese customers known since the 1930s and complements it with another timeless piece of jewellery.
